Chock full of inventive monsters, The Mist unleashes a whole hoard of mysterious creatures upon our protagonists as they attempt to escape a strange, all-encompassing weather phenomenon. When David and his son head to a supermarket to go shopping, they don't realise it's the last time their lives will resemble any sense of normalcy - the pair become trapped inside with a host of other shoppers as a thick white mist rolls in, bringing with it alien-looking monsters that are not of this earth.

There's plenty that could make the cut for this entry since we see all sorts of weird and wonderful beasties as each set piece unfolds in the movie, but by far the most memorable and interesting lies in the Behemoth. True to its name, it's the first monster to really give a sense of scale to the horrors of the mist, appearing almost at the end of the movie to tower over David and his friends in their car as they drive under its gigantic form.

Covered in tentacles, boasting 6 double jointed legs, and not giving a single f*ck about anything on the floor beneath it - it truly is an epic monster that makes all the better of an impression from its short-lived appearance.
