10 More Best Things The MCU Did Differently To The Comics

6. Ant-Man's Major Role

At risk of sounding brutal, Ant-Man has pretty much never been a major force in an Avengers comic. At most, the fact that Hank Pym created Ultron gave him a larger role in comics based upon him – but when the team come together, it’s safe to say it’s usually not Ant-Man leading the charge.

This is exactly what makes his major role in the MCU, especially within Endgame, surprising in the best possible way. Seeing Scott Lang play such an integral role in the plot, while still being the often bumbling, always hilarious character he is loved for makes this all the better, as it sheds light on the one of more most underappreciated Marvel superheroes.

While it’s unlikely that we’ll see Ant-Man as the head of the Avengers any time, his increased importance in the MCU is certainly not a bad thing.
