10 More Crazy Star Wars Theories That Might Not Be Quite So Crazy

8. Force Healing Was From The Ancient Jedi Texts

Of the many divisive plot elements in The Rise of Skywalker, one of the most polarising is the introduction of Force healing to the movie franchise, with Rey (Daisy Ridley) using her abilities to heal both a serpentine Vexis and then Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) during the film's climax.

There was much confusion among fans over how Rey had suddenly learned an ability which has never been performed by any other character in the Star Wars movies.

After all, if Rey is capable of Force healing, why wouldn't the likes of Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon (Liam Neeson), and Yoda also be?

But there's a corker of a theory that Rey learned Force healing by studying Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) sacred Jedi texts.

After all, we know for a fact that she swiped them from Luke during The Last Jedi, and with the film also implying that Luke himself never finished reading the texts, it might simply be that Rey was the only Jedi to actually bother reading and practising the whole damn thing.

Implausible? For sure. Impossible? Absolutely not.

Then again, when you consider that we've since seen Grogu perform Force healing despite being a child with little-to-no reading comprehension, it does cast some doubt on the theory.

It's possible of course, that given how powerful Grogu has been shown to be at his young age, he's simply excessively Force-sensitive with an innate ability to Force heal. That's what we'll go with, anyway.
