10 More Crazy Star Wars Theories That Might Not Be Quite So Crazy
7. Mace Windu Is Still Alive
It may be widely-memed that "no one's every really gone" in Star Wars, because the franchise has a complicated relationship with actually letting apparently dead characters stay dead.
But even accepting that, there are many fans who remain convinced that the demise of Jedi Master Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson) at the hands of Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith was greatly exaggerated.
While we saw Windu get his hand chopped off, be electrocuted with Force lightning, and then get yeeted out of a window, we never saw him land on the ground - quite mercifully, this being a family-friendly franchise and all.
Without first-hand evidence of Windu splattering on a Coruscant pavement or his body ever being glimpsed, then, it's easy to appreciate why so many believe that Windu could've somehow survived - perhaps even landing on a passing air speeder.
Given that Samuel L. Jackson himself told Empire he believes Windu is still alive and would love to reprise the role in a Disney+ series, it's actually not outside the realm of possibility that he's revealed to be among the living in the near-future.
