10 More Deleted Movie Scenes That Explain Confusing Movie Moments

10. Doc Bribes The Cop - Back To The Future

In the theatrical cut of Back to the Future, Doc Brown's (Christopher Lloyd) "weather experiment" is interrupted by a suspicious policeman who asks Doc whether or not he has a permit.

Doc somewhat cheekily replies, "Of course I do," and he's seen reaching into his wallet for an unspecified item - said permit, perhaps? - as the scene moves on.

Well, a deleted part of the scene clears up exactly what happened here, showing Doc handing a $50 note to the cop to stop him from snooping in Doc and Marty's (Michael J. Fox) affairs.

This aspect of the plot was also included in the film's novelisation, yet is entirely absent in the movie itself.

That's not all, though: the added material also includes a rather cringe-worthy gag where Marty expresses concern to Doc that altering the past might turn him gay in the future. Oof.
