10 More Disturbing Scenes Cut From Comic Book Movies

5. Katana Turns On The Squad - Suicide Squad

On top of a ton of Joker footage and even a bit of romance between Harley Quinn and Deadshot being left on the cutting room floor before 2016's Suicide Squad arrived in theatres, there was actually another quite shocking development involving a member of the titular Task Force X that didn't make it into the eventual flop.

There was a moment in the film's trailers that involved Katana, the expert martial artist and swordswoman of the team boasting the Soultaker blade, going through something of a transformation, with the character's eyes slowly turning entirely black.

Well, the film's director David Ayer would eventually reveal that this was apparently all part of a scene that would have seen Katana being taken over by Enchantress.

If that wasn't disturbing enough for you, she'd then go on to attack the rest of her allies, with the Suicide Squad then being put in the awkward position of likely not wanting to murder their mate whilst also trying to keep from having their soul trapped inside her sword.

What a pickle.

And with Katana largely being seen as a bit of an underutilised ass-kicker throughout the finished film, this unfortunately sliced-out possession would have certainly been a welcome, if rather troubling, addition to her screen time.
