10 MORE Dumbest Decisions In Horror Movies

5. Shooting An Invincible Alien - Brightburn

Truly, if you have a son from another planet - which is a whole mess in its own right, to be honest - and have seen no evidence of him ever suffering an injury by conventional methods, then why on earth you'd think firing a rifle in his head would do any damage is beyond rational excuse.

That's exactly what Brandon's father Kyle thinks is the best course of action however, taking his son out to the woods in an attempt to execute him after believing him to be an evil flying b*stard intent on wreaking havoc on humankind. Which he's bang on about, despite the whole bullet thing.

The only time anyone has seen Brandon actually bleed is after coming into contact with his own spaceship, revealing the material to be the only thing on earth able to hurt him.

Perhaps Kyle's decision to take matters into his own human hands feels dumb because we already know this story as the inverse of Superman's origin, but seriously - if you're worried about your child becoming a mass murderer and aren't sure what will finish him off, don't just annoy the kid by trying any old murder method out on him.
