5. Caroline Munro

Caroline Munro's career has had a little bit of everything - she's battled centaurs with Sinbad, tried to blow up James Bond and even performed opera in space with David Hasselhoff.

However, it is for Munro's impressive tally of horror film appearances that she is best remembered. Starting her genre career in 1971, Munro had a small part opposite Vincent Price in The Abominable Doctor Phibes, which she would reprise one year later for the sequel.

Concurrently, Munro was also the only actress to ever be put under contract to Hammer Films, appearing in Dracula A.D. 1972 and Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter.

In the 1980s, Munro's career would consist entirely of horror pictures with a myriad of slasher films in quick succession. 1980's Maniac and 1982's The Last Horror Film teamed Munro with Joe Spinell, critics would call them the "Burton and Taylor of trash cinema."

Next would come two collaborations with schlock producer Dick Randall, a bizarre singing cameo in 1984's Don't Open Til Christmas and the lead role in the wonderfully cheesy Slaughter High in 1986. Munro would round out the decade with three European horror appearances, Jess Franco's Faceless, The Black Cat and Howl of the Devil.

Following an acting hiatus in the 90s, Munro has since lent her talents to countless independent British horror projects, taking her Scream Queen tally well past 20.

Hi! The first thing you should know about me is that I'm a HUGE horror movie nut. A confirmed addict to the WhatCulture Horror YouTube channel I thought I'd try my luck on their writing team. I'm a wannabe author with one completed manuscript submitted to a few agents. Please cross your fingers for me! I am currently working on my second book. If you wanna talk horror or need any movie recommendations, I'm your man! Give me a follow on Instagram... since there doesn't seem to be a section for that in the "socials" tab @that_horror_nerd
