Identity boasts one of the all-time most iconic plot twists in all of cinema.
James Mangold's tense horror-thriller centers around 10 strangers who find themselves stranded at a motel during a torrential rainstorm and are picked off one-by-one by a mysterious killer.
It's eventually revealed of course that all of the central characters are alternate personalities of a serial killer awaiting execution, Malcolm Rivers (Pruitt Taylor Vince).
As such, none of the characters are real, but are nevertheless being systematically slain by one of Rivers' personalities who wishes to become the supreme personality within Rivers' mind.
At film's end, the "killer" is revealed to be the least likely of all the personalities: nine-year-old Timmy (Bret Loehr), who both faked his own death and orchestrated the deaths of all the other personalities in order to become the single remaining one.
After Timmy is left the last persona standing, the film then ends with Rivers appearing to escape his incarceration.
