10 More Horror Movies That Had TWO Incredible Villains
5. Xenomorph & Yautja - Alien Vs. Predator
Nothing says this list needs to be comprised entirely of good movies, only that said movies must feature two great villains, and that's most certainly true of Paul W.S. Anderson's Alien vs. Predator.
Sure, the script is all over the place and the sanitised PG-13 rating was a crushing disappointment, but there's no denying that the movie perks up any time one or both of the titular creatures appear on-screen.
The sheer giddy thrill of seeing the Xenomorph and Yautja throw down, and the emphasis on practical effects throughout, ensure that there's still some campy fist-pumping fun to be had here, even if AvP is, like any Anderson movie, rife with flaws.
On a narrative level it might be schlock, but it gets the most important thing right - making the Alien and Predator look as fierce and terrifying as they do in their vastly superior standalone movies.
And unlike its decidedly gorier sequel, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, at least you can see what the hell's going on here and actually savour the monster fights.
