10 More Huge Actors You Didn’t Notice As Extras In Movies
9. Angela Bassett - Kindergarten Cop
This is an especially hilarious one because the extra in question is actually the best actor in the whole movie, albeit the world hadn't yet recognised her incredible talents.
In an early scene in the Arnold Schwarzenegger-led comedy classic Kindergarten Cop, as Detectives Kimble (Schwarzenegger) and O'Hara (Pamela Reed) are taking a flight to their next assignment, a stewardess asks them if they'd like some breakfast.
The stewardess just so happens to be played by the queen herself, Angela Bassett, who then asks Kimble if his "wife" is OK when she hastily runs to bathroom to throw up (being pregnant and all).
Bassett has about 10 seconds of screen time and two lines of spoken dialogue in the scene, but her presence is so unexpected you can't really be blamed for failing to notice her every single time.
The world certainly took notice of Bassett in the years that followed, though, as four years later she received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her performance as Tina Turner in the biopic What's Love Got to Do with It.
