2. Royce Never Went Home - Predators

After Predator was a smash hit in 1987, the franchise suffered through a poorly received sequel three years later, and two even less well-liked crossovers with the Alien franchise. However, in taking things in a completely different direction, Predators in 2010 came closer than any to recapturing that original magic (though it was still not even close).

Predators took the franchise off-world, as a group of humans were dropped on an alien planet in order to be hunted for sport. Adrien Brody's Royce and Alice Braga's Isabelle managed to survive longer than anyone else, though there was no closure given for their ultimate fates.

The film ended with them seeing more parachutes dropping live game to be hunted, before they headed back into the jungle to try and find a way home. It wasn't until Dark Horse Comics released Predators: Preserve the Game later in 2010 that what happened afterward was confirmed.

The comic showed that two months went by, while Royce began to get accustomed to the life of a hunter on this new planet. Then, 10 years went by before the Predator: Hunting Grounds video game confirmed that while Isabella and Royce found two ships that could take them home, the latter decided to stay. This was his life now.
