10 More Insane Movie Theories That Actually Make Sense

5. Princess Fiona Eats People - Shrek

Here we are at yet another animated movie aimed primarily at kids, and once again we are talking about cannibalism. At least in this instance, it is just the one character eating other people and not an entire community, but unless you're watching Silence of the Lambs, even one cannibal is too many.

In Shrek, the culprit is potentially Princess Fiona. With a dragon refusing entry of anyone to the tower, the question has been asked about what Fiona ate during her captive years, and the answer, according to the theory, is knights.

Eagle-eyed viewers can spot the dragon's 'Knightly Treats' cookbook when Shrek rescues Fiona. The theory answers the caveat that perhaps the Princess eats the horses by saying the stallions can also be seen being left to die on the other side of the bridge. It's just the knights that the dragon cooks up.

Then you take into account the fact that Shrek alludes to eating humans at the start of the film. It may seem like he mentions eyeball jelly to scare his interlopers, but what if he was serious? Perhaps, Fiona only eats the humans she is served in her ogre form, which is solely at night. She was shown to be sleeping through the day when Shrek got to her; is that because she was up all night feeding as an ogre?
