6. The Adventures Of Rocky & Bullwinkle - Robert De Niro

Robert De Niro catches plenty of flak for his tendency to star in blatant paycheck roles these days, but the likes of Righteous Kill, Little Fockers, Grudge Match and Dirty Grandpa have nothing on this live-action adaptation of classic cartoon The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends.

De Niro not only stars as the villainous Fearless Leader but also inexplicably produces the film, which flopped with critics and didn't even recoup half of its $75 million budget at the box office.

You can perhaps begrudgingly admire De Niro's desire to do something completely counter to his typical tough-guy type, but aside from the hilarious sequence where he parodies his "You talkin' to me?" speech from Taxi Driver, it's a complete embarrassment for an actor of his mythic status.

On the plus side, De Niro has filled his late-period filmography with so much rancid fluff that most people probably don't even remember that he was in this film. We can't imagine he's much keen to remind them.
