10 More Movies & TV Shows You Can No Longer Watch
2. Hush
Mike Flanagan's acclaimed horror film Hush was released exclusively to Netflix in 2016, and so many were surprised to see the film removed from the streaming service this past April.
While Netflix's self-produced Originals theoretically have a lifetime license on the platform, Flanagan promptly revealed that Hush was actually licensed through Blumhouse Productions and Flanagan's own Intrepid Pictures label.
As such, the seven-year licensing agreement expired this year, and so Hush was pulled from Netflix.
At present, more than seven months after the film was removed from the streamer, it still hasn't materialised anywhere else, and with Netflix never giving it a Blu-ray release, it's now effectively impossible to legitimately watch Hush anywhere in the world.
It's a sad state of affairs for a film with 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, and though Flanagan has stated that he's currently shopping Hush around to "homes with more support for physical media," there's absolutely nothing guaranteed yet.
Will Hush likely show up on another streamer sooner rather than later? Yes - possibly Amazon, who Flanagan is currently partnering with - but locking down a disc release will prove decidedly trickier, sad as it is to say.
