10 More Out Of Place Scenes In Horror Movie History
2. The Dream Trap - Saw 3D
Saw was the dominant horror series of the 2000s with annual sequels per year, but by the end of the decade times were changing. Other, fresher series like Paranormal Activity became hugs hits and tanked Saw's popularity, which led to Saw 3D being crafted as a blockbuster ending.
But the film wasn't what it set out to be with terrible effects and an unsatisfying finale. One particularly distracting scene is the Pain Train sequence.
Jill Tuck, who is the wife of the original Jigsaw, left Detective Hoffman for dead at the end of Saw VI. But Jigsaw's successor managed to escape, leaving Tuck worried that he may come back for her. Her worst fears come true when she is captured and placed in the Pain Train. The device features a motorized contraption with a blade pointed at the chained victim's direction. Hoffman activates the trap and as the train gains speed, it rips through Jill and cuts her in half.
Unfortunately, this cool death turns out to be a nightmare fake-out, a first in the series. At the same time, the blood has a pinkish hue while Jill's corpse is an obvious-looking dummy.
