7. Eddie Brock (Spider-Man 3)

Aside from the character himself, who was indeed annoying, the poor casting choice and unrecognisable portrayal of one of the best, most long-established comic book villains in history added to the level of irritation in this instance. Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) is supposed to be a muscular athlete with long-term stress, anger and depression issues. And while Grace did buff up a little bit for the role, he was still far too slight and whiny, and the characters development was far too neglected and shallow. His pathetic attempts to trick John Jonah Jameson in to believing his Spider-Man photographs were real, and subsequent moaning about being caught out, followed by complaining to God himself about Peter Parker, made for a truly cringe-inducing performance that really warrants a place on this list.
