6. Sinister Man Hits Child In Face - Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory

Ignoring the fact that all of the children in this clip willfully ignore the fact that they are supposed to be playing British children, with their not-even-remotely hidden American accents, one of the little blighters gets in the way of a key choreographed routine, and almost gets a considerable whack in the mush as payment.

The Candy Man song is already creepy enough, and not because of the lazily mentioned uncomfortable undertones of the simple man's affectionate treatment of his customers - instead it is the behaviour of the children, who effectively ransack the small businessman's shop, stealing and greedily devouring sweets from the jar, as if they were Class A Drugs.

These little sugar fiends terrorise the sweet shop proprierot, and it's no surprise that he snaps at one stage, opening a hatch in the counter just as a little girl has her face in the way. The subsequent movement looks a lot like the lightning-like ninja reactions of a Matrix manipulating messiah, or like the hatch connects in a sweet spot - either way, disturbing implications all round.
