10 More Unexpected Transformations In Zombie Movies
6. Martin - Dead Snow 2: Red Vs. Dead
Considering Dead Snow is a silly comedy revolving around Nazi zombies, it didn't seem like the type of movie that needed a sequel. After all, what else can you do with a premise like that?
Against the odds, Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead is superior to the original due to its tight script, hilarious dialogue, innovative gore, and excellent fighting choreography. Also, it has one of the most unique zombie transformations ever put to film.
The opening scene reiterates how the previous film ended, with protagonist Martin lopping his arm off with a chainsaw after it became infected. Once he was transported to a hospital, Martin had his arm reattached.
Or so he thought.
To his horror, Martin discovers his sown-on appendage belongs to a Nazi ghoul! Although Martin remains human, his zombified arm develops murderous tendencies, slaughtering anyone who crosses his path. It's horrifying and hilarious to watch Martin doing his best to stop his own arm killing passerbys.
Even though the horror genre has shown plenty of creative zombie transformations, this is one of those rare times it's occurred in a single body part.
