10 More Unexpected Transformations In Zombie Movies

#Alive knows how to start things with a bang. Not even two minutes in, protagonist Oh Joon-woo learns the city has been infested with zombies. Gazing out of his apartment window, Oh sees hundreds of people fleeing in terror, vehicles crashing into each other, and explosions going off in his own building. 

Looking directly across, Oh spots a mother wielding a butcher knife. When her teenage daughter calls out, the mother cautiously stares at her, her hand firmly gripping the bladed weapon. Believing the child isn't infected, the woman embraces her lovingly.

With no warning, the middle-school girl begins contorting violently before sinking her teeth into her mother's neck. Unable to wrestle the girl off, all the mother can do is flail helplessly before succumbing to her wounds.

What makes this moment so effective is how predictable it should've been. The camera lingered on the pair for so long, viewers should've known something like this was bound to happen. But since the teenager seemed so harmless, it was impossible to picture her acting like a monster... until she did.

Though this unnamed character isn't seen again, she certainly made an impression.
