10 More Upcoming Movies You Are NOT Ready For

From Furiosa to Nosferatu, here are the 2024 movies that we're absolutely not prepared for.

It's safe to say that 2023 possessed a whole host of flicks that audiences simply were not in any way prepared for.

From the billion-dollar force of bright pink nature known as Barbie, to the deeply disturbing chunk of hand-shaking horror known as Talk to Me, the last 12 months have been an often unpredictable ride.

And a quick glance at the movies on the horizon in 2024 suggests that more of the barmy, inspired, and fascinating same is unquestionably heading audiences' way.

Returns to pulsating wastelands, the animated minds of teenagers, and other somewhat familiar worlds/universes, along with the latest offerings from some of the most creative minds in filmmaking today, all look set to blow the minds of just about everyone who experiences them in the not too distant future.

Again, as this last year has well and truly proven, just when you think you've seen it all, another bunch of movies inevitably comes along and leaves you utterly stunned, horrified, or punching the air with joy.

While you may think you're prepared for what 2024 has to offer, folks, these 10 incoming movies all look destined to leave you shaking your heads in disbelief.

10. Mickey 17

The wonderful Bong Joon-ho isn't what you'd call the most prolific movie director working in the business today.

But when the mind behind the likes of Snowpiercer, Okja, and Mother does commit himself to a new project, something special and hugely unexpected arriving in theatres down the road is almost always guaranteed.

And after not helming a flick since his Oscar-winning black comedy thriller Parasite stunned audiences back in 2019, Joon-ho will return with his latest dive into the sci-fi genre in 2024.

Starring the likes of Robert Pattinson, Mark Ruffalo, Toni Colette, Steven Yeun, and Naomi Ackie, this epic cast will help tell Mickey 17's tale - a figure described as an "expendable" employee in the middle of a human expedition to colonise a new world.

It's all based on the Mickey7 novel, written by Edward Ashton, with the death of every Mickey leading to another being cloned and taking its place, and that new figure possessing the majority of the memories of its predecessor.

That barmy concept, combined with an absolutely stacked cast and a Joon-ho at the peak of his powers, looks like a recipe for gripping success when it releases on March 29, 2024.
