6. Warriors Three
The Warriors Three were promptly trimmed from the Thor franchise once Taika Waititi took the reins, along with another character coming up later and some others who just missed the cut.
Lady Sif was spared, in a way, being kept for Agents Of SHIELD, but the rest of them just never felt important at all. Thor never particularly felt like he needed their help, and as such they just seemed like they were in the way, even when they were saving him.
They weren’t given enough screen time to ever develop personalities beyond a boyband style ‘the funny one’, ‘the moody one’ gimmick. That said, because of their ineffectiveness and general dullness, it felt like they got too much screen time, overall.
Did anyone really notice or care when Zachary Levi was recast?
The Howling Commandos in Captain America: The First Avenger were similarly underused, but the movie didn’t push them to the forefront the way Thor did with the Warriors Three, so they get a bit of a pass.
Plus, if you’re comparing Bucky and Sif as the one who made it through unscathed, Bucky definitely fared better in his solo career.
