10 Most Anticipated Horror Movies Coming In 2020

1. The Invisible Man

Perhaps most exciting of all the properties we're seeing come back to life in 2020 is the resurrection of Universal's own Invisible Man, who'll be making his appearance on 28 February. We're set for a pretty packed start to the year at this point.

Whilst seeing the transparent menace come back to the screen is a joy in itself, the best part of all this is that Leigh Whannell will be the one to take him on as director. He's responsible for writing a number of influential horror movies over the years - not the least the Saw franchise with his best pal James Wan - but his small amount of directorial experience is something to really write home about. Mostly for the absolutely, mind-bogglingly good Upgrade last year.

Whilst it's trailer could have benefitted from being a little more invisible, the story of Cecelia's abusive husband faking his death to haunt her as a see-through botherer looks to be one that will knock it out of the park in the new year. Lovely cinematography, a tried and tested story, and glimpses of the dark moments we'll be faced with are a perfect recipe for a worthy entry into Universal's new world of monsters.
