10 Most Anticipated Horror Movies Still To Come In 2023

4. Haunted Mansion

Last Voyage Of The Dementer
Disney

This Disney remake follows a mother, Gabbie, who's hired a clairvoyant, a minister, a historian, and a tour guide, hoping their combined efforts will help her exorcise a ghost from her home.

Now, there's no way we can talk about this reboot, without mentioning the original. 2003’s Haunted Mansion was so bad, most people would rather spend the night in an ACTUAL haunted mansion than watch it.

Luckily, the new version looks promising enough to make naysayers forget all about its scareless predecessor. With Parks + Recreation writer, Katie Dippold, penning the script, this reimagining should accomplish something which the original failed at - actually being funny.

Also, Haunted Mansion might have the most star-studded cast of 2023. It's filled with a smorgasbord of comedy/horror veterans, including Danny DeVito, LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Winona Ryder, Rosaria Dawson, Dan Levy, Jared Leto, Owen Wilson, and the scream queen herself, Jamie Lee Curtis.

It may be a family feature (it is based on a Disney ride, after all), but this Haunted Mansion seems to lean hard in the horror category. If this film finds the right blend of scares and laughs, 2023's Haunted Mansion could become a classic.
