Hotly anticipated thanks to its astonishing predecessor and the delays of the writers' strike, 2024's Dune: Part Two offers us the closing chapter to Denis Villeneuve's main story, but maybe not the final Dune film we'll see from the director (time, and box office numbers, will tell).

Dune: Part Two not only offers the expansion of and resolution to the many threads and setup of the first film, along with the return of Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson, but a new cast of characters that fans of the book and other adaptations of the novel have been clawing their eyes out waiting to see.

Foremost among these is Feyd-Rautha, the cruel, twisted nephew and heir of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård). Austin Butler takes the mantle from Sting - who famously played the part in David Lynch's 1984 parvulum opus Dune - and looks on track to bring something unique to the role. Alongside the young actor will be it-girl Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan and cinema legend Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam.

In a year where sci-fi fans are set to be spoiled for choice, Dune: Part Two will be the icing on the cake.
