10 Most Anxiety-Inducing Horror Movie Scenes EVER
2. Autopsy - Fire In The Sky
What begins as your average biopic sci-fi makes a sharp left turn into horror with Fire in the Sky's alien autopsy scene - all but confirming that Travis Walton was indeed abducted by aliens and that he had a very unpleasant time whilst with them.
The film is a dramatised true story of Walton, who is taken by a UFO and returned later in the film in a particularly unceremonious way. Whilst the local police force don't believe Travis's friends when they recount their story of abduction, his own breakdown and subsequent flashback serves as the catalyst that pushes the pondering narrative over the line and into firmly f*cked up territory. Perhaps the most anxiety-inducing moment of it all is that it comes completely out of nowhere.
What was one a slow movie balancing on a knife's edge between truth and lies plunges into the dark recesses of a spaceship, where Walton is thoroughly restrained, examined, and tortured in visually creative and audibly sickening ways. There's alien horror, and then there's this.
