All that I've ever wanted is for the phrase "died while trying to bury an axe into the face of a fire-breathing monster" to appear in my obituary. Anything less would mean that I've gravely disappointed my parents.

For those of you who've never seen Reign Of Fire, there's really only one thing you need to know about the movie: Matthew McConaughey launches himself axe-first into a dragon during the movie's final battle and promptly gets swallowed whole. If you're not sold on this post-apocalyptic fantasy film after reading that sentence, you may need to check your pulse.

McConaughey has never once been cooler than he was as the bald, bearded, badass warrior Denton Van Zan. That's a fact. Not even while he was scheming on high school girls in Dazed & Confused or playing his own chest like a pair bongos in The Wolf Of Wall Street. Seriously, Christian Bale may be the leading man in this movie, but you're unlikely to forget McConaughey's gruff, growly Van Zan anytime soon.

And you're even less likely to forget the image of a shirtless, greased up McConaughey flying directly into the mouth of a dragon while he screams bloody murder.
