10 Most Brutal Deaths In MCU History
9. Quicksilver - Age Of Ultron
Blink and you'll miss it. Quicksilver didn't enjoy a long life in service as an Avenger. After spending half the film antagonising the team, he and sister Wanda switch sides to put a stop to Ultron's apocalyptic plans. Frequently getting the better of Hawkeye up to that point, Quicksilver ultimately gets himself killed saving the master archer from a hailstorm of bullets.
Along with being a sad death of a newly heroic youngster, Quicksilver's ending is especially painful when one considers his powers. Time moves slowly for a super speed type, we see this earlier on in the film when Hawkeye shoots a glass floor out from under him. For Pietro, the fall goes at a snail's pace. With this in mind, it's safe to say that stream of bullets he took would've moved through his body at an agonisingly slowed rate.
Not only was Quicksilver's death tragic, it was amongst the most physically painful in MCU history. A brief but important member of the team, it seems highly unlikely we will see him again, even with all these new timelines and TV shows popping up.
