2. Gorr Becomes The God Butcher - Thor: Love And Thunder
With a name like Gorr The God Butcher, the villain is expected to be seen slaying gods left and right in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Still, Gorr didn't end up killing many gods on-screen, except for his first kill - though that's death which is hard to believe exists in a family movie.
When Gorr realized that the god he worshipped all his life, Rapu, does not care about him, or his daughter that died in the god’s name, Christina Bale's character snaps. The former follower killed the god with the powerful Necrosword after stabbing Rapu in the neck. For a full 20 seconds or more, the sword is lodged inside the god’s body.
When Gorr pulls the sword out, blood flows out of the wound. When Rapu dies from his final slash, it is the birth of The God Butcher. It seems the only barrier between a PG-13 rating and an R-rating here, is the color of blood presented on screen. Since Rapu is not a human, his blood is the color of gold.
