10 Most Chilling Games In Horror Movies

9. Hide And Seek - Ready Or Not (2019)

Getting to know the in-laws can be an awkward situation for anyone, especially if the first time you meet them is on your wedding day. This is the situation that Grace (Samara Weaving) finds herself in when she marries Alex (Mark O’Brien), the son of a massively wealthy family who own a successful boardgame company in wickedly fun horror-comedy Ready Or Not.

To become accepted as a member of the family Grace is required to participate in a family tradition: at midnight, she and the rest of the family will play a game that she draws from a box. That game is hide and seek. However, the family’s goal is to kill Grace if they find her.

A gripping game of cat and mouse caked in gratifying and gratuitous violence, this phenomenal genre piece from film collective Radio Silence has gleeful fun with its premise. The filmmakers’ critique of the privileged world of the rich is laced with a dark, subversive humour that plays brilliantly against its crunchy brutality.

Weaving steals the show as a capable horror hero as events continue to spiral out of control. Everything leads to an explosive climax that shouldn’t be spoiled.

This is one film you must seek out.
