10 Most Controversial Award Ceremony Moments Of All Time

5. Michael Moore vs GWB

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7Is43K6lrg At the 2003 Oscars, Michael Moore won Best Documentary for Bowling for Columbine. Never the wall flower, he used the Oscars very cleverly (think about global coverage) to launch a rant against the "fictitious" election, the "fictitious" president and the "fictitious" war that was then going on. Oh how the theatre booed! But what can you expect from Moore? He's a political firebrand who will do anything for publicity. But it was really funny to see all those Hollywood celebrities with their mouths gawping open.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
