10 Most Creative Movie Trailers Ever Made
1. Toys: Robin Williams's One-Man Show
Here's a trailer that was, in many ways, better than the actual film it was promoting.
The late, great Robin Williams delivered a one-man show when promoting Barry Levinson's Toys in 1992. He started out by lampooning blockbuster trailers before launching into a series of impressions, including The Terminator and Rain Man.
Let's be honest (and kind). Toys isn't a great film. It's overproduced, hollow and dull - it didn't deserve a trailer as creative and full of energy as this, but at least those who bought the DVD found some value for money when they discovered this clip in the extras.
The only flaw to be found in the trailer is Williams blatantly lying to the audience by calling Toys an "amazing movie". Okay, he can probably be forgiven, seen as he's such a legend and all.
