10 Most Dark And Twisted Movie Scenes Of 2016

It’s hard to pin down jack of all trades S. Craig Zahler’s directorial debut Bone Tomahawk. For the most part it’s a fairly typical albeit blisteringly brutal Western, but a certain scene towards the end of the movie places it firmly in horror territory. Whatever it is it works and oh boy, does it get truly horrifying.

Kurt Russell stars as a grizzled old sheriff who leads an expedition into the desert to rescue a group of townsfolk kidnapped by a savage troglodyte tribe who just so happen to be cannibals. Can you see where this is heading yet?

Eventually Russell and his fellow remaining rescuer are captured and imprisoned in the tribe’s cave where they are treated to a demonstration on how exactly one prepares a human for consumption. And let’s just say they don’t simply sprinkle him with sea salt and artfully arrange some sprigs of rosemary in a few orifices.

Nope. Their poor victim is stripped naked, scalped, has his scalp shoved down his own throat and is finally brutally hacked in half from his groin. Sweet Jesus, it’s enough to turn you vegan.
