10 Most Disappointing Horror Movie Remakes

6. Quarantine (2008)

And from one universally panned remake to another, the difference here is that Quarantine tries to hide its copycat origin with a sparkly new title. Underneath the American cast and English language, there's a movie that already been done by Spanish filmmaker Paco Plaza - one that's been reenacted almost shot for shot, line for line, and offered up in a new American branding for no reason other than subtitles can be a little tricky sometimes. Is there anything ever more disappointing than watching a subpar movie come into existence purely for the sake of a language barrier, offering up absolutely nothing new in the process?

Quarantine also decided to take liberties with its marketing by including the incredible final shot as its entire selling point - which isn't really a spoiler of any kind, but feels cheap when you look at the hard work the source material underwent to make the movie have the impact that it did.
