10 Most Disappointing Horror Movies Of 2019 (So Far)

In the wake of It's success (and some other adaptation wins that get significantly less attention than Pennywise), you couldn't get moved for announcements of new Stephen King adaptations. And the most interesting ones were always the ones that had been done before and which left significant room for improvement.

Such was the case with Pet Sematary, which has been adapted before and managed to collect a few memorable moments together rather than being particularly beloved as a whole. The new take on it, with its cast led by Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz and John Lithgow had a hell of a head start, but unfortunately it never really gets beyond being "just good enough."

It has big selling points, like Clarke's performance and some of the creepier moments, but it always feels like it's trying - and somewhat failing - to justify its existence. And when the 1989 version's big moments are more mostly more memorable, that's a huge shame.
