10 Most Disturbing Harry Potter Movie Moments

Half-Blood Prince kicked the franchise into a new gear, as it established the importance of the Horcruxes and was the beginning of the end for Voldemort. But it also boasted some of the series' darkest moments, such as Dumbledore's demise and the horrifying moments inside this cave.

This scene followed Harry and Albus as they attempted to take one of the six Horcruxes: Slytherin's Locket. To do so, Dumbledore insists on drinking a potion that covers the item, and it causes him severe mental duress. To make matters worse, once they grab the Locket, the pair get attacked by the utterly disturbing Inferi.

These creatures are reanimated corpses, making them the Wizarding World's answer to zombies, and their designs are terrifying. The skinny limbs and pale skin is frightening, but the lack of lighting in the scene makes them even more disturbing, as the majority of the gore is left to your imagination.

As if these abominable hell spawns weren't enough, the scene gets an additional edge thanks to the horrendous effects that the potion has on Dumbledore. Seeing Hogwarts' powerful headmaster get mentally/physically tortured is horrible, as you so rarely see the figure in such pain.
