It's time for the arachnophobes to skip ahead, as this disturbing scene from The Chamber of Secrets is one they might struggle to handle.

The scene in question follows Ron and Harry as they venture to find a way to keep Hagrid from being sent to Azkaban. He leaves them a clue to "follow the spiders", which was already frightening enough. Still, it becomes far worse after they reach their destination and uncover a giant creepy crawly named Aragog.

While Hagrid may be known for his love of horrible creatures, this one takes the cake. His freakish size is complemented by the number of children that he has, all of which are set upon the wizard pair after they've extracted all the information they need from Hagrid's pet.

While Ron's hilarious reactions to the beasties may be rather funny, it's easy to understand why he would be so terrified, as the concept of a spider becoming a predator is haunting. If people are so petrified of the creatures when they are tiny, then the idea of being dwarfed by one must be unthinkable.

The whole segment is brought to life via some incredible practical and digital effects and had children everywhere petrified of arachnids.
