10 Most Embarrassing DVD Commentaries Ever

3. Uwe Boll Thinks He Made A Good Movie - House Of The Dead

Uwe Boll is one of the most infamous filmmakers to emerge over the last two decades, most "fondly" remembered for his so-bad-it's-good video game movies such as Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne, and yes, 2003's House of the Dead.

Any feeling that Boll might be aware of how awful his movies are completely dissolves, then, by listening to his commentary for House of the Dead, which he largely spends singing his own praises and effectively demonstrating his planet-sized ego.

Actor Will Sanderson also appears on the commentary and makes it not-so-subtly clear that he's embarrassed by the film, spending much of the commentary picking apart its myriad issues while Boll thoroughly downplays them.

As a window into the mind of someone totally lacking in self-awareness, it's fascinating, but given that he's sat with people who aren't quite so blinkered, it's an undeniably awkward fit.
