8. Starship Troopers

Paul Veerhoven's not averse to bringing titillation into his movies, and Starship Troopers is no different. While it's a violent film about war, the space setting and giant insectoid aliens prompted plenty of 90s' mums to rent it for their kids. Many a family would have sat and watched this on a Saturday night, little expecting nudity or sex.

So, when we see breasts and bums on display in a gratuitous shower scene, it's a bad time to be in your mum's company. Thankfully, the moment comes and goes fairly quickly, but the undeniable sex appeal of the hot young men and women parading their bits is sure to create tension.

There's worse to come, though.

Later, the brilliantly-named Johnny Rico is treated to a romantic encounter with love-interest Dizzy, during which she removes her top to reveal her boobs. While we don't see them seal the deal, the characters' obvious urgency and passion is enough to make anyone of any age blush in front of their mum.

Part of you wants to see them get it on, but a bigger part wants the film to just get back to the muscular heroics so you can actually acknowledge your mum's presence again and your dad can stop pretending to read the paper.
