10 Most Embarrassing Paycheck Movies For A-List Actors
6. Robert Downey Jr. - The Shaggy Dog
It was dark time before Iron Man. A time where the only work you could get was acting like a dog with Tim Allen.
Robert Downey Jr. has had an interesting career to say the least. He hit it big with likeable performances in the '80s and even earning an Oscar nomination in 1992 for his performance in Chaplin. However, his later "antics" got him into trouble and his career took an unfortunate nosedive as a result.
It wasn't until his role in Ally McBeal earned him a Golden Globe that he started to rev his career back up at the turn of the millennium. It worked with more successful films like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Good Night and Good Luck but he wasn't out of the woods yet.
In 2006, he signed up for the role of Dr. Kozak in Disney's remake of The Shaggy Dog. In the movie he plays a mad scientist who turns Tim Allen's character into a dog. So, how could that be embarrassing?
Well, have you seen the movie? Not only is it kind of embarrassing to watch Tim Allen bark like a dog, it's really embarrassing to watch Robert Downey Jr. pant and play fetch like a dog. Thankfully, he's earned more dignified movie roles recently... excluding Dolittle.
