10 Most Embarrassing Paycheck Movies For A-List Actors

4. Michael Caine - Jaws: The Revenge

Robert Downey Jr Shaggy Dog

Michael Caine has a reputation for rarely turning down a role. This movie is proof of that.

The first Jaws movie was a very grounded film. A shark was roaming the waters of a popular beach and the small town sheriff recruits a marine expert and cankerous boat captain to kill it. Simple, right? Well, Jaws: The Revenge decided to give a shark vendetta. After defeating the shark either Jaws or Jaws 2, another shark of unknown origins wants revenge on the Brody family.

The incredibly stupid story aside, easily the worst part of this movie is the terrible effects. Granted the shark didn't look very real in the first Jaws, but Steven Spielberg knew this and kept the shark off screen for most of the film. Jaws: The Revenge shows the lifeless-looking animatronic in full from beginning to end.

Caine, who plays an airplane pilot taking an interest in Ellen Brody, has stated that the film is so bad that he hasn't even bothered to see it. This coming from a man who's been in movies like Bewitched and Dear Dictator. Think about that.
