10 Most Enduring CGI Characters Of All Time

5. Davy Jones

There's a shiver down my spine whenever I see Pirates Of The Caribbean antagonist Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) and his wriggling octo-beard... His fishy face, and aquatic-inspired physique is outstanding due to the convincing details achieved by CGI. Davy Jones's thoughts are: "Life is cruel. So why should the afterlife be any different?!" - He was introduced to us in Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) and died uttering the name of his true love 'Calypso' in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End (2007). However, whether Davy Jones is roaming the seas or living the afterlife in a black bean sauce, his distinct image has definitely made him one of cinema's most enduring CGI characters.

As a one-of-a-kind twenty-something film fanatic and culture vulture... I have a 1st Class Honours degree in English Literature with Film Studies & Media Cultures. Along with recently completing MA by Research in Film Studies, I aspire to be a film critic and yearn for the opportunity to roll around on the red carpet (with or without Christian Bale in his Batsuit). Always openly embracing films of all genres and nations, although anything Studio Ghibli related will always have a place in my heart. Believes normality is overrated!
