10 Most Entertaining Bad Guys In Action Movie History

3. Bodhi (Point Break)

Another actor too frequently typecast as the handsome, slightly boring good guy, Patrick Swayze really fills out the role of the soul-searching, extremist gang leader Bodhi. Swayze brought some of his real-life zen buddhist beliefs to a number of his film roles, most notably Roadhouse and Point Break. It works exceedingly well in Point Break, because it's rare to see a bad guy with such a strangely compelling moral code. He hates violence, but he's a desperate thrill-seeker who doesn't see any other alternative to getting what he needs. He's not doing bad things because he wants to do them, he does them because it affords him the opportunity to live his life to the fullest. ("If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price," he says, without a hint of cynicism.) His spiritual musings are just as entertaining as his beautifully choreographed stunts.
