8. Grandmaster
Most of the characters on this list are villainous. This is a collection of the most evil characters after all, so this is obviously to be expected, but there are exceptions. Though the Grandmaster may technically be classed a villain, he wasn’t anywhere near the same level as the likes of Hela or Surtur.
He didn’t pose Thor a particularly great threat in all honesty, and he harboured him no ill will. All he was concerned about was his Champion and his sport. He was nothing but an inconvenience to the God of Thunder, an obstacle to overcome before fighting the real fight.
Oh, and he was a ruthless, merciless dictator who bought slaves into pit fighting and melted his own cousin. Everyone on that planet was at the mercy of the Grandmaster’s every whim, and if he wanted to he could have slaughtered them all without a second's thought.
Sure, he didn’t like the term ‘slaves’, he preferred prisoners with jobs, but that didn’t make the people of Sakaar any less of slaves. Just think of the poor people like Doug that were forced to fight and be brutally killed by the Hulk, all for his entertainment.
