10 Most Evil Harry Potter Characters

Barty Crouch Junior can often be overlooked given that he only appears in The Goblet of Fire. Yet he is undoubtably one of the most devoted and intelligent of Voldemort’s Death Eaters, as he is able to fool even Dumbledore.

Despite being given a life sentence in Azkaban for the torture of Frank and Alice Longbottom, Crouch manages to escape from the infamous prison with the help of his mother and father, becoming the first person ever to do so.

After battling against his father’s Imperious Curse, he then returns to Hogwarts disguised as Mad-Eye Moody. During this time, he manipulates the Triwizard Tournament in order to resurrect his master, performs Unforgivable Curses on his students, and murders his own father in the grounds of the castle.

It is a shame that he is ultimatley killed by several dementors, as it would have been fascinating to have seen more from this character.
