Though he is not an official Death Eater, Greyback is the most frightening of the Dark Lord’s servants.

In contrast to other werewolves, he relishes in his own transformation, regarding it as his mission in life to bite as many people as possible in the hope of one day overthrowing the established magical order. He particularly enjoys attacking children, for he believes that in biting them young, his victims will grow up hating ordinary wizards and witches.

Greyback is responsible for several attacks on prominent characters, most notably Remus Lupin, Bill Weasley, and Lavender Brown, the latter of whom dies as a result of her wounds.
