Bellatrix’s loyalty to Lord Voldemort is unparalleled. In the wake of The First Wizarding War she was one of the few who remained publicly supportive of her fallen master.

Harry’s first encounter with this sadistic Death Eater occurs at the end of The Order of the Phoenix whilst in the depths of the Department of Mysteries. Similarly to Umbridge, Bellatrix relishes in her acts of evil, and after murdering Sirius Black, she delights in taunting Harry about the death of his godfather.

She continues her acts of depravity in The Deathly Hallows by torturing Hermione in Malfoy Manor, murdering Dobby with a knife to the chest, and (as unveiled in The Cursed Child) giving birth to Voldemort’s daughter.

Thankfully, she gets her long-awaited comeuppance when she comes face to face with Molly Weasley during The Battle of Hogwarts.
