10 Most Evils Acts In The Marvel Cinematic Universe
5. Loki Drops Thor From The Helicarrier
The relationship between Thor and Loki is, without a doubt, one of the most complex in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. Loki's desire for power drove a huge wedge between The God of Mischief, and The God of Thunder, and ultimately put them on opposite sides of the battlefield during 2011's Thor, and 2012's The Avengers.
While Thor cares greatly for his brother, hoping to make him see the error of his ways, Loki is a being who will step on anyone to get what he wants, even if it means the death of the man he grew up with.
During Loki's invasion of the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier in The Avengers, Thor becomes trapped inside a near-unbreakable cage, designed to hold The Hulk. Looking to remove Thor from his plans for good, Loki toys with his brother, before eventually dropping the cage 30,000 feet to the earth, hoping to kill Thor. (Despite knowing that he's basically impervious).
This is not Loki trying to slow down the God of Thunder, but is instead a very genuine attempt to kill him, with Thor only barely able to escape at the very last moment.
The very act of sending his own brother to almost certain death, and doing so without any mercy or regret, is one of Loki's most sickening moments yet, and shows perfectly what lengths the God of Mischief will go to achieve his dream of absolute power.
