10 Most Exciting Comic Book Movie Revelations From Comic-Con 2014

4. Ant-Man Concept Poster Unveiled

Ant-Man has for such a long time been a project that looked doomed to stagnate in pre-production so it was nice to see it feature at Comic-Con, even if it is just a piece of conceptual art. The poster showcases the Ant-Man suit in action for the first time with the film€™s central characters Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) appearing in the background. Paul Rudd is excellently cast Ant-Man; the comedic actor playing the least likely of heroes in Hank Pym. The poster was specifically illustrated by Andy Park for Comic-Con to remind everyone that the superhero with the ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength was still out there. Now directed by Peyton Reed after Edgar Wright disappointingly dropped out because of creative differences, Ant-Man is scheduled to (finally) start shooting next month with a projected release date of July 17th 2015. With all the bad luck and set-backs which have hampered this project, it can be hard to believe that it€™s release is less than a year away. Following the release of the poster Marvel confirmed at their panel that Evangeline Lilly would be playing Hope Van Dyne (Pym€™s daughter) while Corey Stoll would be Yellowjacket.
