10 Most Gruesome Saw Traps

Of all the traps in the Saw franchise, this one really is one of the most eye-catching. It employs almost every gory technique from the series, such as a creative set-up, physical pain, acid and a gruesome finale that seems more painful than you could ever imagine.

The Angel Trap worked in a similar way to the infamous Viking ritual of The Blood Eagle. It saw the homicide detective Allison Kerry placed into a harness with each of her ribs connected to points. Jigsaw tells her that she must gain the key before the timer runs out; otherwise, her ribcage will be torn apart.

To get the key, she needs to stick her hand into a small vat of acid. She does this, but it doesn't save her, as Amanda Young, the apprentice to Jigsaw, has rigged the trap to be inescapable. Kerry then takes a final moment before each of her ribs are ripped from her body, and she inevitably dies.

This trap's brutality is off the chain, and it's once again made worse by the fact that there was no escape to it. It's a true testament to the gruesome nature of the series and is remembered fondly as one of the most inventive yet disgusting traps.
